Television
Television is one of the marvellous inventions of science. Indeed it is a magic box. Pictures and images flick across the screen and delight the viewers. Television, often referred to as the "idiot box" or the "small screen," has become an integral part of modern society. Since its invention, television has evolved from a luxury item to a ubiquitous presence in homes worldwide. This essay explores the impact of television on society, delving into its role as an influential medium for information, entertainment, education, and socialization.
Television is a powerful tool for disseminating information. News broadcasts, documentaries, and talk shows provide viewers with access to current events, world affairs, and in-depth reporting. It serves as a primary source of news for many, shaping public opinion and awareness of global issues.
The world of news and entertainment is moving very fast. Television and radio have come to stay in our lives. Television programmes in general and drama, in particular, have always fascinated me a lot. Television offers a vast array of entertainment options. From sitcoms and dramas to reality shows and sports broadcasts, it caters to diverse tastes. It provides an avenue for relaxation, escape from daily stressors, and shared cultural experiences. I should frankly admit that up to class VIII. I would spend much of my time watching different programmes.
Educational programs and documentaries on television serve as valuable resources for learning. Channels dedicated to science, history, nature, and educational children's programming enhance knowledge and stimulate curiosity among viewers of all ages.
Television is a significant platform for advertising, influencing consumer behavior and shaping market trends. Advertisements promote products and services, creating desires and preferences among viewers.
But now I am selective and see only what suits my taste.
I know that watching television for a long is harmful to the eye-sight. Too much exposure to the flickering light damages the sight. Sitting before the set in an awkward position also causes pain in the limbs. Neck bone and shoulders are also badly affected.
What I like most on TV is "The World of Nature". No other programme can be that wonderful. Each programme on nature, animals and landscape gives me a glimpse of the beautiful world. I feel like discovering the world in which I live. I feel I know very little of the vast world of wonderful forms. "The World of Nature" programme gives me a lot of information and understanding.
The creation of so many moving objects is one of the sure signs of Allah Almighty. One of the divine names of Allah is "Al-Musawwir". He is the Creator, the Painter, the Originator of so many forms of beauty and their perfect proportions. "The National Geographic" programmes on TV always bring to me a new glimpse of natural beauty. I love it. It is amazing indeed.
The use of tv is much reduce as it's place has been replaced by the smart phones which are constantly used and the dramas plays movies and programmes that were available on the television are now also available on the smart phones So the use of Television is much reduce as compared to the past 5 years
